The release date of NTR-starrer ‘Janatha Garage’, one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year, has been deferred to September 2.

The release date of NTR-starrer ‘Janatha Garage’, one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year, has been deferred to September 2. It was originally scheduled to arrive on August 12 but speaking to reporters in Hyderabad on Friday, one of the producers Naveen Yerneni said that since they want to allot more time for post-production, they deferred the film. “The audio launch will take place in August first or second week,” he noted. “September 2 is good a date as August 12.”
Elaborating on the reasons that led to postponement, director Koratala Siva said, “A week’s shooting has been disrupted because of the rains, causing us to lose dates of principal artistes. The shoot is on as we speak now but it will take another 10 days for the film to be wrapped up completely. Also, we are required to shoot a number in Kerala.
Keeping all this factors into consideration, we felt the film needs good amount of time for post-production and so, decided to reschedule the release. We are confident that if we get three weeks for post-production, we can deliver the best product. ”
How did NTR took the proposal? “It is natural for him to get upset because his fans were expecting the film to release on the original intended date but he was also sure they would understand our concerns. He participated in quarry fight sequence in mid-summer for a week non-stop, so he understands what we have put in for the film. He only cautioned us to use the three weeks to give the best output,” Siva pointed out.
Venky takes NTR’s slot
With ‘Janatha Garage’ out of August, the makers of Venkatesh-starrer ‘Babu Bangaram’ have decided to fill the August 12 slot. In a statement, the comic caper’s producers Naga Vamshi and PVP Prasad said the soundtrack would be on unveiled on July 24, while the film will hit the marquee on August 12.
Also, the makers of Mohanlal and Gautami-starrer ‘Manamantha’ are eyeing August 12 to release their film. On the other hand, Sai Dharam Tej-starrer long-in-the-making movie ‘Thikka’ is confirmed for August 13.
