Pawan Kalyan, who attended the audio launch of Saptagiri-starrer ‘Saptagiri Express’ over the weekend in Hyderabad, said that he enjoyed the comedian-turned-hero’s blink-and-miss appearance in ‘Gabbar Singh’ and has been waiting to meet him ever since. “I’m happy that I’ve finally met him at this launch,” said Pawan.
He pointed out that the makers of ‘Saptagiri Express’ initially titled their film as ‘Katamarayudu’ but upon knowing that his friend and producer Sharrath Marar was keen on titling his in-progress film with me as ‘Katamarayudu,’ they have parted with their title. “They were 80 per cent through with their filming but were kind enough to give away the title. I was initially shy to give in to their gesture but they came forward and parted with the title wholeheartedly,” added Pawan.
Pawan further said that though he is yet to watch a couple of his own films, he would definitely be watching ‘Saptagiri Express’. “I love Saptagiri’s energy and comedy timing. I’d definitely ask his film’s producer to arrange a show for me. Also, the director Arun Pawan is my best friend Trivikram’s close confidant. He even helped me for ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’. I wish him, the producer and the composer all the best for the film.”
