Nayantara minting crores in T-town?

Dusky actress Nayantara has reportedly demanded Rs 3 crore for her upcoming historical film 'Sye Ra... Narasimha Reddy,' opposite megastar Chiranjeevi as the producer and actor Ram Charan is willing to cough up the same since Chiru-Nayan combination will trigger a lot of hype. Just a few months ago, the 'Babu Bangaram,' actress pocketed Rs 3 crore-plus to romance Balakrishna in 'Jaisimha' and laughed all the way to the bank, according to an industry source.

Interestingly, the actress has been picking female-centric films in Kollywood like 'Aaram' and 'Vellaikaran,' while doing star-studded movies in T-town to mix up good roles with big bucks. "Nayantara is one of the top actresses whose popularity and charisma are still intact in Telugu and big stars are showing keen interest to work with her since she has retained her brand value even after 10 years in the film industry.

While she has already shared screen space with popular stars like Venkatesh, Balakrishna and Nagarjuna, and now, Chiranjeevi and producers don't mind paying her a fancy price, apparently, making her the highest paid actress in T-town," says a source, close to the 'Jaisimha' crew.

With Anuskha putting on weight and Shirya Saran on the threshold of getting married, Nayantara’s stakes are running high and above. "In fact, Nayantara’s Tamil movies are dubbed into Telugu and she is able to pull in crowds and surely her name spells magic. If she pairs up with a big star, she brings a lot of craze on board," the source adds. Nayantara is making hay while the Sun shines and fattening her bank balance by shrewdly picking big budget flicks.
