After making waves with her scintillating performance as the legendary Savitri in ‘Mahanati’ and winning critical acclaim as well as overwhelming applause from Telugu viewers across the world, talented actress Keerthy has been reportedly shunning Telugu film offers for the last six to seven months. “Truly Keerthy is eyeing some meaty roles in Telugu,” says an industry source, who claims that she is thumbing down routine offers since she doesn’t want to dent her hard-earned image. “She played a once-in-lifetime-kind of a role in ‘Mahanati’ and apparently she is looking for an author-back role to return to Telugu audience, than just a film for the sake of it,” the source adds.

After a dud like ‘Swamy Square’, the ‘Nenu Local’ actress is awaiting the release of ‘Pandemkodi 2’,” the source points out. No doubt, she would have been flooded with several offers after her maiden female-centric film rocked the box office, but the Malayalam diva is not in a hurry to sign films left, right and centre in T-town. “Anyone else in her place would have pocketed big sums by signing star-studded movies, but she is holding her horses and waiting for the right kind of role and script, that would justify her talent and image,” the source concludes. Perhaps, her fans have to wait for some more time to see her back on Telugu screen.
