I wasn’t offered NTR biopic, says RGV

Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma claimed that seasoned star Balakrishna didn’t ask him to direct NTR biopic. “Firstly, Balakrishna didn’t ask me to direct NTR biopic and he didn’t ask me about `Lakshmi’s NTR’s story either,” he informed.

But RGV is doing the biopic of Lakshmi Parvathi since he was fascinated with drama in legendary NTR’s life after Lakshmi Parvathi stepped into his house. “I was curious about the dark shade in his illustrious life.

Although, I am not going to say anything new about their relationship, our film will be a realistic depiction of how love blossomed between NTR and Lakshmi Parvathi,” he added.

Talking about his upcoming production ‘Bhairava Geetha’ he says “I hope that this film will give a good break to me and my unit. Our director Siddharth has narrated the film in a fresh manner.

Sidharth might have been influenced by my narration style and that is the reason his promo looks close to my style. But believe me, the film will be completely in his inimitable style” he added.

He describes it as a love story exposing various `social inequalities’ in the society. Sharing his take on new actors, he says “I believe that I can convey my thoughts clearly through new actors and extract natural performances from them,” he reasons.

On his past failures like ‘Officer,’ he states “I never thought it will be a disaster since we trusted the story. So, there is no chance of learning lessons from my failures,” he concludes.
