Taapsee Pannu gearing up for the release of upcoming film Badla says her and Amitabh Bachchans character sketches as lawyer and client is only a bait for the audience
Taapsee Pannu gearing up for the release of upcoming film Badla says her and Amitabh Bachchan's character sketches as lawyer and client is only a bait for the audience.
The film marks the second outing of Taapsee and Amitabh Bachchan after social drama Pink and has some similar lines of characters.
When asked Taapsee whats common in the two film character she said they have been cast for a reason and will not disappoint the audience. "There is a reason both of us have been casted in this film after pink. And to fans I would say, it was a bait in a way that for everyone to think that we will be seen as client and lawyers but wait till you watch the film we wont just work in a film together for the sake of it.
And neither of us want to spoil the novelty and love that we have gotten in Pink, so Sujoy has a big responsibility on his shoulder but I am sure it is worth it. Our characters and sketches in both the films is completely different. Audience will think they were so different people. We just have the client and lawyer jobs in common in both the films."
The new track from Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Badla’ is called ‘Kyun Rabba’ and it features Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. The song is composed by Amaal Mallik and sung by Armaan Malik. The song presents a point of view from Taapsee’s character.
Talking about the song, Taapsee gave all credit to the creators, she said, "Amaal, Arman and Kummar are the heroes of this song. This is not a film that is musical or a song driven film. It is really important to strike the right cord with the songs in this film. So I am happy we are opening up with 'Kyuu Rabba'."
The crime thriller is directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Azure Entertainment.
It is slated to release on 8 March 2019.
