Although hotshot Rana Daggupati is trying hard to quit smoking but it seems that it will take some more time. “Rana wanted to give up the habit for his parents and unable to discard it overnight but sure of doing it at the earliest,” says a source, close to the family. “He loves his doting parents and can’t say no to them on any issue. When his mother broached this topic, he readily agreed and trying in various ways to cut it down,” the source adds. The doting son on the work front is busy shooting for a period movie ‘1945’ (Madai Thiranthu in Tamil), set in pre-Independence era, being directed by Sathya Siva after resolving the Telugu rights issue with producer S N Rajarajan. “Rana is happy with the final deal and resumed shooting for the film,” the source points out. The lanky actor plays a soldier in the Subash Chandra Bose led army Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army).
No doubt, ‘Ghazi’ star is having a great time at the box office with blockbusters like ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ and doing a big ticket multilingual film ‘Haathi Meri Saathi’ with tasteful filmmaker Prabhu Solomon.
