Cash Seized From Karem Shivaji’s Residence. A huge sum of cash has been seized from the residence of Mala Mahanadu President Karem Shivaji by the police on Saturday.
Hyderabad: A huge sum of cash has been seized from the residence of Mala Mahanadu President Karem Shivaji by the police on Saturday. With authenticated information received from anonymous sources, the police have carried out a raid in the home of Karem Shivaji at Magam in Ayinapalli mandal in East Godavari district.
The police found illegal possession of Rs 19.56L at his residence. No proper response was received from the family members of Shivaji to the inquisition of the police. In turn, the police have seized the amount and taken to the police station. A case has been booked by the police and is investigating the matter. More details are awaited.
It is worth recollecting here that Banawar Lal, the Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh, at a previous instance said that by now Rs 125.31cr has been seized from various sources. Also, 74.2kg gold, 708kg silver has been seized, apart from seizing 4.57L lts liquor. He ordered the concerned authorities to intensify their checking as there was a possibility that more methods of transportation of money, liquor and gold will be opted in view of the looming elections.
