Hyderabad: After a short hiatus for a week or so, early on Saturday the customs officials have seized ½ kg gold at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport of Shamshabad in Hyderabad. According to sources, the gold was seized from a woman who arrived at Hyderabad from Dubai by Arab emirates flight. The woman has also been held for interrogation. More details are awaited.
In the recent past, Shamshabad airport has become the gateway for smuggling goods and precious items, mostly the Gold. Many such incidents have come into the light in the last few months. Despite the fact that the officials of airport are vigilant, many such smuggling incidents have been taking place, giving a way for many misgivings.
