Chittoor: A man who is greedy for the gold ornaments of a woman has bluffed the woman in the name of love for the past two years and married to her on Thursday at Kanipakam. While on their way back to home he took her to a dense forest; sexually molested her, and later after snatching all her gold ornaments hit her with a huge stone. Considering that she was dead, he ran away from the spot. This incident took place near Palamaneru Forest Area on Thursday.

A woman aged about 23 yrs originally hailing from Keelcher village near Pallikonda of Tamil Nadu got introduced to Tylor Periya hailing from Melvaidanakuppa near Ambur. Later, they fell in love with each other. The woman has been working in a private shoe company and purchased gold ornaments for her marriage. He had an eye on the jewellery. He said that they would go somewhere and get married. The duo went to Kanipakam on his bike, early on Thursday, and married there at 10.30 a.m.

Later, while they were on their return journey to Tamil Nadu, the man allegedly took her to the forest area near Palamaneru in the pretext of showing her beautiful locations. He forcibly molested her sexually in the forest. Later, he snatched all her jewellery including the nuptial choker (mangalasuthram). When she resisted for the same, she was hit strongly with a huge stone. The woman became unconscious during this episode. The accused considered that she was dead, and immediately ran away from the spot. Later, she became conscious and somehow reached the main road. The locals rushed her to the hospital seeing her pathetic condition. The police registered a case based on the details given by her and have been investigating the matter.
