Child-lifting gang nabbed

• Seven boys below four years kidnapped

Nalgonda: Police nabbed a six-member gang, which kidnapped at least seven boys all below age of four years and sold them to prospective parents who have no male children. According to Superintendent of Police Prabhakar Rao, the gang had kidnapped below four years old boys from unsuspecting parents and sold them to issueless parents.

When the police take into custody a woman who was roaming under suspicious circumstances, she spilled beans about the gang, he added.
The gang members included Mote Ailaiah of Mantapuri in Alair mandal, Kadiyala Rangamma of Vijayawada, Majin Raju of Medak, Poteti Yadamma of Miapur, Mote Bucchamma of Rajupet of Nalgonda district and Kallem Pochamma also of Miapur.

The kidnapped children belong to Miapur, Kukkatpalli, Sanathnagar and Chandanagar in the Hyderabad, and a boy of Gunadala in Vijayawada. The parents of five children identified their wards and they were handed over. Two children are yet to be identified. Elaborating the modus operandi of the accused, the SP said that Kadiyala Rangamma and Majin Raju kidnap the boys and Mote Mallaiah, Kallem Pochamma, Mote Bucchamma sell the children.
