Rajasthan: Transgendered gang-raped by policemen

Jaipur: In a most heinous incident, a hizra was raped by none other than the policemen of Rajasthan in Ajmer. This incident took place at Ajmer in Rajasthan. As many as three policemen allegedly raped her. The most atrocious part of this incident is that – the transgendered was raped inside the police station, which otherwise is considered as the temple of law and order.

The said transgendered arrived at Ajmer from Mumbai to visit the famous Darga of Ajmer. While she was travelling by an auto rickshaw, the police stopped the auto and went on a wordy duel with the auto driver. The victim meddled in between. For this very reason, she along with other passengers was rushed to the police station. Initially they have viciously beaten all of them. Later, turn by turn three policemen allegedly raped her. Later, she came out on bail and made complaint against the police in the same police station. She was reportedly frightened of dire consequences if the matter was reported. When the transgendered was rushed to the hospital for medical checkups, it was ascertained by the doctors that she was sexually assaulted.
