Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) turned into battleground on Sunday for the left and right student groups over the controversial 'Kiss of Love', a protest held in Kerala against moral policing on Sunday. The police rushed to the campus and brought the situation under control.

It all started after a few students began demonstration in support of the TV clip in which a couple was seen kissing each other in front of the audience. They held placards against moral policing inside the campus. They also expressed solidarity with the couple, who were allegedly assaulted by members of right wing groups in Kerala.

Countering the demonstration, the activists of ABVP held a dharna in front the UoH. Sensing problem, the huge contingent of police was deployed inside and outside the campus. While the left wing students union SFI also announced its support to the liberal students.
