11 Youth Arrested For Bike Stunts. The Narsingi police on Sunday took 11 youngsters, mostly college students and young professionals, into custody for rash driving and performing bike stunts at Gandipet Road. The cops also seized five bikes.
Hyderabad: The Narsingi police on Sunday took 11 youngsters, mostly college students and young professionals, into custody for rash driving and performing bike stunts at Gandipet Road. The cops also seized five bikes.
The bikers were riding dangerously and doing stunts on the Gandipet stretch, said Narsingi police officials. “There were underage riders also. The detained bikers are between 16 and 25 years old,” sub-inspector B Sakram said.
A case under Section 279 of the IPC for rash and negligent driving has been registered by the Narsingi police.
The races happen mainly during weekends. The racers indulge in various styles like wheeling and zigzag riding. They often placed bets on the outcomes of the races, the SI said adding that in the past similar cases had been booked and students along with their parents were counselled.
