Hyderabad: The Mirchowk Police on Tuesday arrested two persons in connection with the sensational murder of the businessman, Md Javeed, 33, of Chatta Bazar on December 10. Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Hassan Bin Ibrahim, 31, a financer of Chatta Bazar and Md Ali, 37, a truck driver of Yakutpura, on Tuesday around 6 am. Explaining the details, DCP (S) V Satyanarayana said, “The deceased and his brothers took a hand loan of Rs 1 lakh from Hassan about two years ago.

They could pay only `50,000 as principal and `40,000 as interest and were finding it difficult to pay the balance `50,000 due to heavy losses in their business. For that, Hassan forced them to join in a chit fund, but for the last four months the deceased and his brothers were unable to pay the monthly installments even. This infuriated Hassan, who on December 10, with the help of Ali barged into Javeed’s shop and stabbed him repeatedly with knives in throat, chest and stomach. The accused fled from the scene leaving Javeed with bleeding injuries. Following which the neighbours shifted him to Osmania Hospital where he succumbed on the same day.” The accused have been produced before the court.
