Man arrested for cheating car owners

Hyderabad: A 30-year-old man was arrested for cheating the car owners on the pretext of leasing them and changing the ownership with fake and fabricated documents. Police seized 34 cars worth Rs 3 crore from his possession. According to police, the accused Shaik Umar Alisha alias Alisha, resident of Madinaguda, Hafeezpet and native of Palakollu, West Godavari district along with Srinivas Reddy, resident of Allagadda, Kurnool and Rakesh Kumar Reddy, resident of Proddutur, Kadapa duped car owners with the name ‘7 cabs Pvt Ltd’. Scores of car owners hired their vehicles with the travel agency after knowing it through websites. However, the accused changed the ownership and threatened the owners by engaging goons.
