A cab driver was arrested by the SHE team police on Tuesday for ‘filming’ a woman while travelling in a taxi in Gachibowli. Police charged Md Abdul Rasheed, 28, a resident of MD Lines, Langar House, under relevant Sections of Nirbhaya Act and Section 354 C of the IPC which provides punishment for a man watching or capturing images of a woman engaged in private act at a time she is not aware of being watched.

“On Tuesday around 11 am, the victim boarded the taxi in Banjara Hills on her usual trip to office at Hi-tec City. After reaching Madhapur, the driver of the cab who found the woman was fast asleep on the front seat, started filming her on his mobile phone,” SI Chandra Reddy, in-charge of SHE team said adding that the team followed the vehicle and stopped him near Gachibowli Crossroads and on checking his mobile phone, objectionable video of eight minutes was found.
