Newly wedded couple robbed
A newly- married couple who were on the way to their destination on a two wheeler were attacked and robbed of their belongings by three miscreants on Wednesday night on Kakinada- Uppada beach road. The two who sustained injuries were admitted to Kakinada government general hospital.

According to sources the couple, Suresh and his wife Jayasri of Gollaprolu town in the district were on their way back on a two-wheeler through beach road after shopping in Kakinada at about 8.00 pm on Wednesday Three miscreants under drunken state intercepted them with liquor bottles and snatched the gold jewellery from Sridevi and cash from the wallet of Suresh. In the scuffle, the couple sustained injuries inflicted with broken liquor bottles. The two were given first aid at Pithapuram hospital and later shifted to KGGH for treatment. Their condition is said to be out of danger.
