Two youths electrocuted in field

Khammam: The trap set to kill wild animals led to the death of two persons in a maize field near Doravaigudem village under Dammapet mandal in Khammam district in the early hours of Wednesday. The victims were identified as Jakka Lakshman Rao, 25, and Golisetty Nagaraju, 25, both natives of Gopalapuram village in the mandal.According to police, both the youths died on the spot after they came into contact with a live electrical wire that was laid to kill the wild animals.It is suspected that the youths themselves fell victims to the trap and got electrocuted when they tried to connect the wire to a nearby electric transformer.Dammapet sub-inspector Nagaraju registered a case and started investigation.
