Minor chained for five days in Police Station

In a shocking incident, a 13 year old boy who was accused of stealing a chain was reportedly kept chained inside Vetapalem police station in Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh for five days.

The boy who is a rag-picker was to a window inside the police station. However, after the shocking videos surfaced on the web, the District Police Officer, Srikant claimed that the boy was caught on Monday and denied of detaining him for days.

The video showed the juvenile crying in a corner with his leg chained into a corner. Officials swung into action, ordering an inquiry on the matter and the Police officer stated that disciplinary action will be initiated.
