Two children drowned in a Peeram Cheruvu village tank under Rajendranagar mandal when they went for swimming on Saturday evening. According to police, Deepak, 8 and Vasu, 9, who were studying in local government school, left home for playing along with another friend Sandeep.
Hyderabad: Two children drowned in a Peeram Cheruvu village tank under Rajendranagar mandal when they went for swimming on Saturday evening. According to police, Deepak, 8 and Vasu, 9, who were studying in local government school, left home for playing along with another friend Sandeep.
While Sandeep stood on the shore, the duo ventured into the tank. As the two boys failed to come ashore, Sandeep rushed to his home and explained the incident to his parents. On being alerted, the police swung into action. The bodies of two children were retrieved and sent for post-mortem.
