Infant found crying over dead parents

Hyderabad: In a harrowing incident, a one-year-old infant was found pathetically crying by the side of decomposing bodies of his parents at their house in Jagadgirigutta on Friday. Preliminary investigation revealed that the woman died a day before her husband, according to the Jagadgirigutta police.

The boy was found at their house in Kamala Prasanna Nagar on Friday. However, the incident has come to light only after the neighbours heard the boy crying. When they entered the house, the boy was found crying looking at the bodies of his parents hanging from the ceiling, the police said.

The couple, J Manjunatha (30) and J Rani (25), hailing from Bengaluru were living in the locality for the last five years. Manjunatha was working at an electronics showroom in Kukatpally, while his wife was working in a super market. The police said that Manjunatha had two children from his first marriage. Five years ago, he fell in love with Rani in Hyderabad and married her.

He had a son from this new marriage. A suicide note was found in the house, in which Manjunatha expressed his dissatisfaction over married life with Rani, as he suspected Rani to have relationship with another person.

“To prove the purity of his life, he wanted to end his life along with Rani,” the police said quoting the suicide note. There were strangulation marks present on Rani’s body. “We are waiting for the post-mortem,” said the police.
