Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a 27-year-old physiotherapy internee at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad was found dead in the hospital on Monday morning. Vijay Kumar of Patancheru in Medak district,
who was doing internship at the NIMS Hospital after completing his PG in physiotherapy, was found hanging.
The hospital staff found Vijay Kumar’s body hanging to the staircase in the old building on Monday. On identifying the body of Vijay, the hospital staff alerted the police and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Vijay had some family problems for a long time and could not deal with them. “He came to the hospital on Monday morning and hanged himself with a rope, the police said. We are trying to find out the reasons behind his death,” said Punjagutta police.
