The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Wednesday conducted simultaneous searches in the house of Bhukka Gopal Naik, divisional engineer, Srisailam Right Canal, and on the premises of his relatives here following complaints that he possessed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Wednesday conducted simultaneous searches in the house of Bhukka Gopal Naik, divisional engineer, Srisailam Right Canal, and on the premises of his relatives here following complaints that he possessed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The raids, under the supervision of DSP Sudhakar, revealed that the assets were worth Rs.3 crore to Rs. 4 crore, as indicated by documents. Their market value was likely to vary from Rs.12 crore to Rs.13 crore, he told the media. The assets identified included 20 acres of land, three plots in Hyderabad, ten house-sites in Proddatur, one Innova car.
