A 15-year-old girl, Dekkam Shailaja, attempted suicide by dousing herself with kerosene at Malyal mandal headquarters on Tuesday evening. Family dispute was said to be the reason for her decision.
Karimnagar: A 15-year-old girl, Dekkam Shailaja, attempted suicide by dousing herself with kerosene at Malyal mandal headquarters on Tuesday evening. Family dispute was said to be the reason for her decision.
According to villagers, she has been quarrelling with her mother from many days. She quarrelled on Tuesday too. After arguing with her mother, Shailaja doused herself with kerosene and torched.
Alerted neighbours immediately shifted her to Jagityal government hospital where she is undergoing treatment. The condition of the girl was serious as she sustained 70 per cent burn injuries.
