Medical student commits suicide 20 days after wedding

A medical student, Soumya from Khammam district committed suicide by hanging herself in her college hostel room in Karimnagar on Tuesday night. The victim who was pursuing first-year post-graduation in medicine at Pratima Medical College in Karimnagar recently got married. Soumya married Pawan Kumar Reddy who is a doctor on February 27 and returned to the college on Tuesday after completing the wedding rituals.
Soumya's husband dropped her off at the college but hours later, she was found dead in her hostel room. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
