3 held for borewell worker’s death

Acting on a complaint lodged by one Venkat Ram Reddy that his son Rajashekhar Reddy died under suspicious circumstances at work on May 27, a team was formed to probe the death. R
ajashekhar’s colleagues K Venkatesh (34), K Danaiah (29) and G Pradeep Kumar Reddy (32) were taken in for questioning. The trio told the police that Rajashekhar was working on a bore-well near a Dhaba when he fell from a height and apparently died due to a head injury.
But, the post mortem examination revealed that Rajashekhar had died of multiple injuries. Later, an investigating officer retrieved footage from a CC Camera installed at the Dhaba where the incident took place.
The footage showed Rajashekhar escaping from his colleagues when he was attacked over a petty issue and running onto the National Highway where he was mowed down by a car.
Hayathnagar inspector J Narender Goud said that armed with the technical and medical evidences, they nabbed the accused near Bhagyalatha area. They were arrested under sections 304 B and 34 of IPC.
