A PhD scholar from University of Hyderabad died under suspicious circumstances on Thursday in a train.  The scholar Sooria Prakash of Dindigul in Tamil Nadu has recently submitted his thesis on ‘Manual Scavenging’ at the Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (CSSEIP). 

Hyderabad: A PhD scholar from University of Hyderabad died under suspicious circumstances on Thursday in a train. The scholar Sooria Prakash of Dindigul in Tamil Nadu has recently submitted his thesis on ‘Manual Scavenging’ at the Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (CSSEIP).

Prakash departed for his hometown on Wednesday in a train and was found dead while travelling. He was reportedly sick for the past two months and when he attended the health centre in the university, he was suggested to take rest.

Following Prakash’s death, the Ambedkar Students Association held a condolence meeting on campus premises on Thursday. The Association members said Prakash was very brilliant at studies and was a frequent visitor to several foreign universities, and also in India and presented several papers.
