In a freak railway accident, one person died and another was injured at a level crossing near Ferozeguda on Sanathnagar-Moula Ali byepass railway line on Monday morning.
​Hyderabad: In a freak railway accident, one person died and another was injured at a level crossing near Ferozeguda on Sanathnagar-Moula Ali byepass railway line on Monday morning.
According to railway officials, while placing a base slab for the construction of a road-under-bridge with the crane, loose soil fell on the contract labourers, who were working close to the site, injuring the duo. One of them died on the way to a hospital and the other was undergoing treatment.
The construction of road-under-bridge was planned early in the morning at 6 am to ensure safety of road users. All the required machinery was mobilised and a deep vertical cut of 6.5 mtrs was made for insertion of the pre-fabricated RCC Boxes.
The work was being supervised by both the railway contractor and Officers and Senior Subordinates of the Secunderabad Division of the South Central Railway, informed the officials.
