Prof. Raju was addressing the inaugural function of the two-day national seminar on ‘Global challenges in parenteral formulations and regulatory aspects’ organised by Raghu College of Pharmacy at Dakamarri in Bhimunipatnam on Friday. He urged the students to reduce the usage of mobile phones to the minimum and to obtain more and more knowledge as there are a lot of prospects for the pharma students nationally and internationally. The VC at the same time suggested the college management to enter MoUs with noted pharmaceutical companies for placements. About 500 students are participating in the seminar. College principal Dr Jagadeesh Panda said this seminar provides a better platform for student delegates in sustainable learning and exchange of knowledge on parenteral manufacturing and regulatory aspects. President of Raghu Educational Society Kalidindi Raghu gave a brief report about the college. He informed that along with technical events like pharma quiz, sports and cultural events will be conducted for the delegates. Paper and poster presentations will be on the second day of seminar on Saturday.
Later, Vice President (Ope), Hospira, Visakhapatnam Dr Nick Page released the souvenir on the occasion. Representatives from noted pharma industries like Dr Reddys, Hospira and Gland Pharma also attended the event. The college management later felicitated Prof. Raju and Dr Nick Page on the occasion.
