It's a known fact that students in Telangana played a stellar role in achieving a separate statehood status for Telangana.

They made sure that the Telagnana movement did not lose steam even when many parties went into silent mode for a few months. During that time, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrashekar Rao promised jobs for them once the state is formed. However, his decision to regularise contract employees invited the wrath of students.

Most of the students are up in arms against KCR's decision. They even held strong protests in Hyderabad. Many are expressing their anger at the TRS Government for not even issuing a single job notification through TSPSC. Now, KCR who earlier experienced the wrath of the Osmania University students when he was about to go back on his fast unto death, is planning to offer 'special carrots' to tame the students.
It is reliably learnt that the Telangana Government is planning to come up with a special quota for students in jobs. IT minister KTR during his interactions with OUJAC students at the Secretariat sought quota similar to Uttarakhand Government told the students: “It is very much under consideration of the government. I can assure you that you will hear good news from CM KCR in this regard very soon. Please wait and see.”. The government feels that the 10% quota will not create any problem.
