National Institute of Technology’s premier cultural festival ‘SpringSpree’ will be held from February 27 to March 1. It is one of the prominent college festivals in south India. With a huge participation from students all over the southern region, the festival has been a huge success year after year featuring grand artists like Suraj Jagan and Baiju Dharmajan, said SpringSpree coordinator Anish Reddy Sudula here on Friday.

With a huge participation from students all over the southern region, the festival has been a huge success year after year featuring grand artists like Suraj Jagan and Baiju Dharmajan, said SpringSpree coordinator Anish Reddy Sudula here on Friday.

This year, SpringSpree would be held with the theme ‘World Fest’ in order to celebrate the diversity and unity of different cultures and beliefs across the world. In keeping with the theme, a pre-SpringSpree event, ‘Kite Flying’ was held at Wadepally tank in Hanamkonda on Thursday.

Over 250 students enthusiastically took part in the event and lit the sky with thousand of colours with their dazzling kites. Twenty children from the OASIS orphanage were invited to celebrate the event with the college students. The children spent the day flying kites and enjoying with the students team.
