This management message is only, the tall trees like Neem, Mango, Tamarind, Cassia fistula etc conveys to the corporate leaders.

Mostly the corporate that does not have adequate management wisdom and good HR culture always believes and practices only the philosophy of making people to over work/perform by having prolonged working hours and for example, such corporate tactfully keep 6 days of working and only Sunday as holiday. If possible, they even organize to conduct some HR training programme on Sunday. Such corporate leadership always thinks that only when people are given lot of tasks and challenges, they perform the best and the organization also would grow.

No one can ever deny that only performance of the people will bring growth and development to any organization. Therefore, the corporate should give due importance to ensure that the people perform the best and the performances of people are adequately monitored and measured and simultaneously the people are also mentored and guided properly.

The Neem, Mango, Tamarind etc., are seasonal flowering and fruiting plants. During season, these trees would flower and fruit ‘en mass’. Once the season is over, then these trees would go for long holiday until next season. In the next season, the same ordeal would continue again. When the performance has singular objective, over performance might do some wonder like the seasonal trees have only one objective i.e. produce more seeds and ensure maximum progenies in the given season. Hence they over perform.

The modern corporate has to strategies, plan, execute, understand and improvise etc., the ‘complete talent’ of people and not the complete ‘energy and effort’ the corporate should attempt to tap from its employees. Only when people have energy, brain cells will function properly and only when the mind and the brain work at the best, best performance, the people can offer. If the corporate drains out the energy of people, hardly they will make any difference despite the corporate holding the people in corporate for 6/7 days a week.

The nature appears to know this management essential well and that is how it has created different species of plants. Some are annual flowering and fruiting plants and some are perennial flowering and fruiting plants.

Just make people work and work, no corporate can ever breed great result. Task should be given to people in a spatial manner and optimum work and optimum holidays also must be given to people to attend to their personal life as well.

If the corporate fails to respect, recognize and help the work-life balance of the people, best performance and talents of people cannot be taped. Even the performer becomes non performer soon. When you need people to do the business, also try to know the needs of people is the HR message the nature wants the seasonal flowering and fruiting plants to share to the corporate.
