‘Points to remember' for AIPMT 2016 Aspirants-DOs&DON'Ts:
Examination is such an important event or phenomena, where everyone whosoever big or small gets scarred or apprehended. At the time of examination, it is very important to control the nerves and have a relaxed mind and body.
With the AIPMT only a few days away, Aakash Institute offers special and expert guidance to all the students on how to EXCELL in this most important examination of their career. To get the best performance, one should follow certain guidelines and should remember few points as mentioned below:
Durning last week before exam:
Thorough revision of NCERT: Be thorough with the NCERT Books, especially of Biology & Chemistry of class XI and XII as this is the basic & most important component of your preparation.
Efficient revision of mportant topics:As the syllabus is vast; one needs to know the most important topics to draw the best output. Revise the chapter in accordance with its importance in AIPMT.
Do not try to give any extra time to those chapters which are very weak even today because it is very difficult to do justice to these topics in the short time available.
Revision of notes prepared in the form of summary sheets, flow charts, formulae sheets etc. during this period will be good.
Developing examination temperament by solving previous year question papers and mock tests: It is very important to participate in few mock test papers of AIPMT level and previous year AIPMT papers, as per the timing of final exam. A comprehensive test analysis after the test will also help you to review and rectify your weaknesses. These tests will also help you in understanding how you should manage your time in different sections of the paper so that you do not get stressed. Stress appears only when you mismanage your time.
Durning the 'D Day',The Examination Day:
Approach the test with best strategy-'Count your bullets':Based on your strengths & weaknesses, approach the test paper with the best strategy. An effective strategy will help you draw the best output in the final exam. Try to score maximum in your strength areas to maximize the score.
Be Selective: Try not to give the final answer for questions which you are not sure of because your wrong answer will reduce your grand total. Simply leave such questions and focus first on the questions from your strength areas. On an average, there are 55-60% average and easy questions, 20-25% above moderate questions and 15-20% difficult questions in test paper. Try to identify easy ones and attempt them first.
Align your clock-'Time Management:Managing the time effectively in the exam is very important. Remember this is not only a test of your knowledge but also a test of your examination temperament and time management skills. Divide the 3 hours as per your comfort and strengths in the subjects and try to stick with the time line assigned. In first round, attempt only those questions, which are taking less time & are very easy. Read all the questions of the test paper so that any easy question does not remain un-attempted. Read all the options carefully. In second round, try to solve as many left questions, to maximize the score.
Be Optimistic&Calm: The most important thing to remember is to maintain calm & be positive throughout the test. Do not panic, if stuck in a difficult question. Do not lose the temperament during exam.
Do Not learn any thing new: During the exam day, do not learn any new thing because at the last moment, it may generate confusion in your mind and finally make you nervous.
Some general Tips: On the exam day, reach the venue at-least 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Do not be in a hurry to open booklet and start writing the test paper. Before that, read all the instructions carefully and fill all the required details correctly in the answer sheet like your name, Roll number, paper code and date etc.
Best of Luck for AIPMT 2016.
