The Hans India 'bumper bonanza' winners in Rs 5,000 and Rs 1,000 category for this month were selected in the lucky draw conducted at the Hyderabad Media House Limited office in the city on Monday.
This was the first such contest held by The Hans India and it received tremendous response from the readers. Two The Hans India readers from Hyderabad - Srikanth and Naresh- won a cash prize of Rs 5,000 in the lucky draw. Another 18 readers Harasa, Bhagyalaxmi, P Ramesh, P Hansa, Shobha, Narasimha Rao, Thakur Vishesh Singh, K Pardhasaradhi, V Babu, Subhankar Roy, S Sampath, G Naveen Kumar, Latha, R Shailesh, Syed Zafar E- Alam Sarfraz, J Sushma, M Praveen Kumar and Balamani won a cash prize of Rs 1,000 each.
The winners expressing their happiness wished that the newspaper grows by leaps and bounds and emerge as the leading daily in the State. They said that they had found the newspaper to be of a different kind as it gave variety of news and had greater local flavour compared to its competitors.
The draw was taken out by Lohith and Nidhi, popular TV artistes in the city. The Hans India Editor PNV Nair spoke to the winners over the phone and congratulated them. The Hans India Political Editor Ramu Sarma was also present at the function.
