The moment someone says the word “Biryani”, your mouth starts watering. Biryani is one of the most sought after dishes in the food industry, a family gathering or a restaurant meal is never complete without a Biryani, One simply cannot resist it!! It’s something we have all grown up eating.

While the origin of Biryani is still debatable, Wherever it has travelled, it quickly got the influence of local flavor attached to it and therefore you will find many names associated to it such as the Mughalai Biryani, Kolkata Biryani, Dindigul Biryani, Bombay Biryani and the list is endless. Because of the influence of diverse cultures in Hyderabad, we are not just limited to the typical Hyderabadi dum biryani but off late we have seen many new innovative variants of it, such as Avakayi Biryani and Ulavacharu Biryani.

One such place which tops the list in offering these delicious mouthwatering Biryanis is “The Spicy Venue”. Located in the prime location of Rd#10 Jubilee Hills, The Spicy Venue is a one stop favorite destination for all such mouthwatering Andhra delicacies.

We all are very familiar with Avakayi pickle which is made of raw mangoes, But imagine a biryani made with Avakayi as its main ingredient. The flavorful rice pulao when combined with avakayi flavor will definitely make it an interesting combination, something which words fall short to explain. At first instance it looks like a simple plain biryani, but the avakyi ingredient is hidden at the bottom. The uniqueness about avakayi biryani is its tangy and spicy flavor which makes it completely outstanding. Iam sure you will fall in love with it immediately.

Another Biryani that is totally in contrast to the Avakayi Biryani is the Ulavacharu Biryani, wherein the main ingredient is Ulava that is made of Horse Gram. The taste of Ulavacharu biryani is quite subtle and a little bland, but still when ulavacharu combined with the flavorful rice pulao makes it a combination which you cannot deny but go for a second serving. Very unique in itself.

Both the biryanis are served with Vegetable, Chicken and Mutton variants. These two biryani’s are so popluar that recently two tollywood movies were named after it.

After you are done relishing these biryani’s, do not forget to try the Apricot Delight Desert which is a fusion of khubanikameetha and Pudding. It’s a three layered pudding with apricot puree, cake slices and fresh cream. The taste of it is so heavenly that it leaves you with an unforgettable experience and you feel like eating it again and again.
