Kishan Reddy eyeing LS seat?
MLA Kishan Reddy Eyeing Lok Sabha Seat From Sec-Bad, Malkajgiri. BJP State president Kishan Reddy, who won the Amberpet seat in 2009 with a majority of 27,423 votes, securing about 50 per cent of the polled votes, is said to be eyeing a ‘safe’ seat.

Kishan has his eye on becoming a minister in Narendra Modi’s Cabinet and is keen on contesting either the Secunderabad or Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat. Not confident of winning from Amberpet, he is said to be looking for a safer Assembly seat.
V Hanumantha Rao, MP, who will contest from Amberpet on Congress ticket, is a tough opponent. With reports of Congress’ understanding with MIM in a few city constituencies, the elections are bound to become interesting.
One might argue that Kishan Reddy is still strong in the constituency and won by 22.66 per cent majority in 2009. The Congress fielded Mohd. Fareeduddin, an outsider from Medak. There were also reports that the miffed VH camp worked against Fareeduddin. With this constituency being the home turf of VHR, it will be a different fight time.
VH is confident of his chances. He recently issued a statement that he has sought the support of MIM leaders. He is also using the BC plank to woo nearly 33 per cent of the BC voters.
