Over 100 mobile developers participated in HikeAthon, a hack fest organised by popular messaging app Hike which started on March 28. The two days-long event was first of its kind. Hike had given an open invitation to all the engineers and mobile developers.
The aim of the event was to take on one platform all those innovative minds who can think imaginatively and find solutions on how to make the So-Lo-Mo (social-local-mobile) revolution a reality, that in context of messaging. Hike hosted the fest in association with Venturesity.
Venturesity has been instrumental in conducting hackathons for a large number of leading startups, ecommerce companies and even large enterprises.Rajat Bansal, CTO, Hike Messenger said, "At hike, we are on a mission to bring India online.
We believe we start actualising that when we hit 100M users. We want to invite all smart developers, to build for India and help bring India online. With our first offline HikeAthon, we wanted to reach out to the breed of hardcore software developers who are equally passionate to develop apps and features which help elevate the end-user experience."
