The Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazatted Officers Association and its member organisations will felicitate its president P Ashok Babu in the city on April 28. The APNGOs Krishna district president A Vidya Sagar said that the government employees from all the 13 districts of the State will honour Ashok Babu and the executive committee of the APNGOs on the day as a gratitude to the contribution of the leader for the employees’ welfare.
Vidya Sagar said that Ashok Babu had successfully rallied the government employees, youth, students and people of all sections during the State bifurcation movement. The Samaikyandhra agitation, which continued for 80 days was a great success only because of the leadership of Ashok Babu, he said.
He further said that Ashok Babu had played key role in getting several benefits, including health cards and wage revision, to the government employees. He said that the felicitation would be held at the Vedika Function Hall in the city. He appealed to the employees, pensioners and general public to make the event a success.
