Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Hyderabad, celebrated its first convocation on Tuesday at NIRD Auditorium. A total of 120 students from various streams received their degrees from S Ramadorai, Chairman, Governing Board of TISS, Vice Chairman TCS and Adviser to the Prime Minister of India, National Council on Skill Development (NCSD).

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Hyderabad, celebrated its first convocation on Tuesday at NIRD Auditorium. A total of 120 students from various streams received their degrees from S Ramadorai, Chairman, Governing Board of TISS, Vice Chairman TCS and Adviser to the Prime Minister of India, National Council on Skill Development (NCSD)

Prof Shanta Sinha, renowned Child Rights Crusader, founder of MV Foundation, and Ramon Magsaysay award winner, was the chief guest for the event. Addressing the students Ramadorai said, “A country in transition needs youth to be fully engaged in nation building. TISS nurtures a trained cadre of spirited and brave young people working shoulder to shoulder with communities in backward and challenging frontiers.”
