The Nava Nirmana Deeksha organised by the State government to mark the first anniversary of bifurcated Andhra Pradesh was a matter of excitement to all. While elaborate arrangements were already made by the district authorities in collaboration with Police and Revenue departments, people turned up in large numbers to watch Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu deliver his address at Benz Circle on Tuesday.

The cultural department roped in folk artistes who performed on specially penned songs for the Nava Nirmana Deeksha. Lyrics of the song narrated the struggle for a united State, the pains of separation and the rise of new government and its efforts to protect people and develop the State. The cultural artistes’ team led by Aalla Srinivasa Rao sung about five songs that provoked the public against injustice and called out for unity in building capital with strength.

Big screens were arranged on four sides of the Benz Circle junction for clear vision of the stage proceedings while security was strictly managed, owing to the public venue. Andhra-origin employees working in Telangana also came down in large numbers to participate in the Nava Nirmana Deeksha.
