UBM India will host Security and Fire Expo (SAFE) at the Chennai Trade Centre from July 1-3. The fire safety market in India is witnessing a radical growth with market value expected to surpass US$ 4.94 billion by 2019. Increasing at 30 per cent per year, the Indian commercial security market too is expected to surpass a value of US$1.4 billion by 2016.
South India being the largest base for IT/ITes companies in the country has been proactive in providing a safe environment for trade and business associations, creating industry standards with their investments, infrastructure and security projects. The combination of government initiatives, increasing awareness regarding fire safety and security, asset management and enhanced implementation and compliance with state level regulations has further fuelled the market’s growth.
On the sidelines of the announcement, Yogesh Mudras, acting managing director, UBM India, said, “With SAFE 2015 being the only such trade event in the region; UBM India intends to offer market-entry and business opportunities to the growing market in the region while strengthening the supply chain cycle of the industry.”
