Wellness company Stepathlon Lifestyle has announced its new Corporate Social Responsibility initiative 'Steps for A Cause' in association with Ketto.org, a fundraising portal. 'Steps for A Cause' is a fund raising opportunity will launch at the same time as their 100 Day Race commencing on September 2.

Approximately one lakh plus expected Stepathletes and their companies will be able to raise funds for a charity project of their choice, while they race around a 'virtual world' in the global, corporate initiative that encourages employees to be active and get fit.

Commenting on the initiative, Ravi Krishnan, CEO, Stepathlon, said, "Your overall wellness is directly proportional to productivity. The association with Ketto.org is a strategic partnership, a natural extension to our objective of creating a healthier, happier and more productive workforce. Contributing to a cause enhances your mental and emotional wellbeing."

Ketto was founded by actos Kunal Kapoor and Varun Sheth. Stepathlon and Ketto will launch a special microsite Stepathlon.ketto.org to house all fundraising pages created by Stepathletes. A list of NGOs will be curated under various categories including diabetes, cancer, heart disease, women's empowerment, education, environment and disaster relief to name a few.

Stepathletes will get to pick one NGO to raise funds for during the 100 Day Race. He/she will then set a monetary target and encourage friends, family and well-wishers to contribute to his/her cause. In addition to this, participating companies can choose to reward their top fundraisers with matching grants towards their cause.
