The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) national award committee members visited a few villages in Sadashiv nagar, Machareddy, Jakranpally and Makloor mandals on Tuesday and inspected various schemes that were in progress.
Nizamabad: The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) national award committee members visited a few villages in Sadashiv nagar, Machareddy, Jakranpally and Makloor mandals on Tuesday and inspected various schemes that were in progress.
They wanted to know how the works were progressing and expressed happiness over their proper implementation.
The team led by Satish Agnihotri and his associate Shashi Rekha examined various schemes like the Employment Guarantee Works Data recording within three days, providing works to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes on a large scale, spending funds according to the targets fixed , providing a minimum of 100 days work to all job card holders, providing works to 75 percent disabled groups. The district came first at the national level in their implementation.
District Collector Yogita Rana gave a paper presentation at the national level meeting on MGNREGS held at New-Delhi on December 9 and showcased the district’s achievements in the implementation of the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
The Union Government announced the awards to various districts which were successfully implementing the MGNREGS schemes and providing jobs to the workers in conditions of drought.
The government today sent the committee to inspect the works which were being implementing under the MGNREGS scheme in Nizamabad district.
The team members first visited the dumping yard works at Adloor Yellareddy of SS Nagar mandal and discussed the ways in which the works were being implemented with the District Collector.
They asked the disabled workers whether the district administration was providing them jobs under the EGS Scheme. They were satisfied with the answers given by the workers.
After that the team members visited the Machareddy mandal Singaraipalli, Reddypet, Manthanidevunipalli and other villages. the Award committee leader Satish Agnihotri said that their team was satisfied with the works being implemented by district administration and MGNREGS team .
District Collector Yogita Rana, DWMA project Director Venkateshwarlu, Trainee Collector Jyotsna and officials of various departments were present with the national committee members. .
