Handloom Park launches Pochampally IKAT showroom
Pochampally Handloom Park announced Hyderabad’s first hand-woven eco- friendly, IKAT showroom, which was inaugurated by actress Madhulanga Dass at State Gallery of Fine Arts in Madhapur on Thursday. Alok Kumar Development Commissioner – Handlooms Ministry of textiles and Preethi Menon-Telangana State handlooms Director were also present at the inauguration.
Pochampally Handloom Park announced Hyderabad’s first hand-woven eco- friendly, IKAT showroom, which was inaugurated by actress Madhulanga Dass at State Gallery of Fine Arts in Madhapur on Thursday. “Handlooms are part of an age old Indian tradition element of Indian culture and rich artistry. By promoting handlooms, we support the artisans and local community who have been passing on their skills for generations. Promoting creativity and originality, each design is a result of individual artisan’s creativity which is influenced by the local traditions and cultures,” said Chairman Devender on the inauguration.
