In a bid to reinvent the concept of retailing and in order to make the customers get a complete shopping package, including furniture and supermarket products, SSB Group, a leader in structural galvanising, opened a first-of-its-kind destination in Mallapur on Friday. The one-stop solution for all home needs, SSB World shopping mall, was inaugurated by Home Minister, Naini Narasimha Reddy, in the presence of the Mayor B Rammohan.
Boasting of a sprawling 30,000 sq.ft, retail space, spread over three floors, the mall has been decentralized into ‘Alpine’ that caters to the super market provisions and ‘Casabene’ which is exclusively into furniture that bears the SSB hallmark, according to Puskar Desai, the CEO of SSB, which enjoys an annual turnover of Rs 50 crore that he hopes will double this fiscal.
He said that their marketing strategy and the innovations they are ringing will come as a welcome breather for the customers, who have to go to two to three outlets for completing their shopping. The mall makes available the best of brands in furniture, home décor, home accessories and home related products.
Desai said that the outlet that has come at an estimated cost of Rs 15 crore will break-even sooner than later. Casabene, the furniture mall that also notable presence in Kolkata is to soon branch into other localities like Begumet while the one-stop mall is being planned near Gachibowli.
