More than 250 doctors from India and abroad, including faculty and delegates of Prime Hospitals participated in the ‘spine surgery’ conference at Park Hotel in Somajiguda on Sunday.

Organised with the theme ‘Challenges in Spine Surgery: Making it Safe and Simple’, the conference created a platform for doctors to share their knowledge on advances in the area.

Conducted in association with the Andhra and Telangana Neuroscientist’s Association (APNSA) and Spine Twin Cities Spine Clinic, the conference included distinguished speakers like Dr K Sridhar, Dr Ram Chadda, Dr SS Kale, Dr Gautam Zaveri, Dr Umesh and Dr Jacob Mathews.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr BSV Raju, Course Chairman of the conference and Director – Prime Hospitals said, “The last decade has seen tremendous increase in Spine Surgeries making it very common for most orthopaedic and neuro surgeons now.

Along with the surge in Spine Surgeries came unique challenges in managing spinal disorders. With current advances in technology, spine surgeries are done safely by most experienced surgeons.”

“The aim of the conference is to deliver best scientific exchange for all the attending delegates in the interest of the patients and their safety,” he added.
