The Commissioner of Police, Sudheer Babu held a meeting with private lodge owners of the tri-cities of Warangal-Hanamkonda-Kazipet at the Commissionerate on Friday. He asked them to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the police in running the lodges.

The Commissioner of Police, Sudheer Babu held a meeting with private lodge owners of the tri-cities of Warangal-Hanamkonda-Kazipet at the Commissionerate on Friday. He asked them to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the police in running the lodges.

He told the lodge owners to ensure that no illegal activity like gambling, settlements, prostitution and others takes place at their lodges. Stern actions would be taken against the owners if any unlawful activity was found taking place in the lodges.

With the tourism activity increased in the city, many foreign tourists have been arriving here to visit historic places in the district. The lodge owners must obtain the details about the foreign tourists fill in 'Form -C' and submit the same to the concerned police station.

A copy of photo ID or Aadhaar card, phone numbers of the guests and their relatives or friends must be taken prior to registering any guest when he comes to stay at the lodges. The lodge owners must ensure safety of their guests as per Public Safety Act 2013, the Commissioner said.

Similarly the lodge owners must install the door-frame metal detectors and internet protocol (IP) cameras at reception centre, parking place and at the entrance for live surveillance at the lodge premises.
