The Centre has sanctioned three more national highways covering 489 km in the backward areas of Madnur, Yellareddy, Jukkal, Bichkunda and Nizamsagar in the district. 

Kamareddy: The Centre has sanctioned three more national highways covering 489 km in the backward areas of Madnur, Yellareddy, Jukkal, Bichkunda and Nizamsagar in the district.

These highways are spread over 165 km linking Karimnagar, Sircilla, Kamareddy, Yellareddy and Pitlam towns.

People and the public representatives have expressed their happiness over the sanction as the construction is to start shortly.

Besides the highways, the District Collector has directed the officials to acquire lands for taking up the construction of a national highway between Sangareddy and Akola. The Kamareddy district already has National Highway No 44 which is spread over 40 km.

The Madnur-Bodhan-Nizamabad stretch which is to become 75 km national highway. Also the 241-km Hyderabad-Medak-Rudrur-Bodhan-Basar-Bhainsa National Highway is to be converted into a four-lane road.

Recently, the national highway from Sangareddy to Nanded in Maharashtra has been sanctioned. This NH will touch Kamareddy.
