Sports competitions held to mark International Women’s Day
As many as 60 disabled women participated in the Sports competitions held at Collectorate Compound in Peddapalli. The games were organised by the District Rural Water Supply (DRWS) Department in association with the District Youth Services (DYS) to mark the beginning of International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrations to be held on March 8.

The games were organised by the District Rural Water Supply (DRWS) Department in association with the District Youth Services (DYS) to mark the beginning of International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrations to be held on March 8.
The competitions were held in different categories of Throw Ball, Tug-of-War, Needle and Thread, 100 metres Sprint, Shot-put and Musical Chairs. The women participated with full of energy and enthusiasm. The competitions were inaugurated by DRWS officer P Thirupathi Rao and DYS Officer Rajveeru.
The Prizes will be distributed by the District Collector on International Women’s Day celebrations to be held on March 8, DYS officer Rajveeru said.
IN KARIMNAGAR:
To mark the beginning of International Women’s Day various sports competitions were held for women employees at Ambedkar stadium in Karimnagar on Tuesday. The competitions were inaugurated by the District Welfare Officer Girija. As many as 200 women employees from various departments participated in the events.
The Deputy Director of Marketing Department Padmavathi and the officer of District Youth Services Ashok Kumar were present.
The winners will be given prizes on the International Women’s Day celebrations to be held on March 8 at the Collectorate Auditorium in Karimnagar, DYS officer Ashok Kumar said.
